Fish health & care
Treat your fish at the very first signs
White spots, frayed fins, a fish keeping to itself: a disease caught early is far easier to treat. Waiting lets the infection spread through the whole tank and weaken the most fragile fish. At AnimalParadise we bring together targeted treatments to act fast and restore the balance of your aquarium.
How do I recognise a disease in my fish?
Watch behaviour and appearance: jerky swimming, rubbing against the decor, white spots like grains of salt, ragged fins or cottony patches are all warning signs. A fish that loses its appetite or hangs motionless at the surface needs immediate attention and often a suitable treatment.
Should I isolate a sick fish before treating it?
A hospital tank lets you treat one fish without exposing the whole aquarium to medication or disturbing the filter bacteria. For a disease that has already spread, treating the entire tank is sometimes necessary. Always follow the stated doses and remove the activated carbon from the filter during treatment.
Our fish care range
- White-spot treatments : against white spot disease and external parasites.
- Fin and fungus care : for damaged fins and fungal infections.
- Conditioners and protectants : that soothe the slime coat and support recovery.
The AnimalParadise expert tip: note the start date of the treatment and the water temperature: many parasites speed up their cycle in warmth, which helps you adjust how long to treat.
