Dog treat
Treats to train and delight your dog
Rewarding good behaviour, keeping chewing busy, strengthening your bond… treats are a valuable everyday tool. As long as you choose them well and don't turn every cuddle into calories.
Do treats make my dog fat?
Only if overused. The rule: treats shouldn't exceed 10% of the daily ration, deducted from meals. Choose small formats or light versions for a dog you're watching.
Which treats for training?
For training, choose very small, soft and highly tempting rewards, given immediately after the good behaviour. For chewing and enrichment, prefer bones or chew strips that last longer.
Our dog treats range
- Training rewards: small, soft, ideal for training.
- Bones and chew strips: keep busy and maintain teeth.
- Dental treats: help limit tartar.
- Functional treats: joints, coat, digestion.
- Natural treats: meat-based, without unnecessary additives.
The AnimalParadise expert tip: use the treat as a wage, not a constant gift: given right after the desired action (recall, sit, calm), it trains; handed out freely, it loses all its power and adds weight. Good timing beats quantity.
