Grooming: a healthy coat and fewer hairballs

Even though it grooms itself, your cat needs a hand: regular brushing reduces hairballs, prevents knots and strengthens your bond. Here are the grooming and care essentials.

How often should you brush your cat?

A short-haired cat is brushed once or twice a week; a long-haired cat, every day to avoid knots. During moulting, brush more often: you'll pick up less hair around the home and your cat will swallow less.

How do you trim claws without stress?

Use suitable clippers, cut only the clear tip (never the pink part), and work calmly, one paw at a time. Get your cat used to it young and reward it: handling soon becomes routine.

Our cat grooming and care range

  • Brushes and slickers: against knots and dead hair.
  • Shampoos and coat care: gentle, made for cats.
  • Claw clippers and paw care: for neat claws.
  • Eye, ear and dental care: everyday hygiene.
  • Anti-hairball: pastes and supplements to ease transit.
The AnimalParadise expert tip: always brush in the direction of the hair and turn the session into a pleasant moment (soft voice, treat): a cat that links brushing with pleasure lets itself be handled far more easily, even in sensitive areas.
