What gear do I need to start canicross?
Three pieces form the basic trio: a fitted pulling harness that does not hinder the shoulders, a bungee line that absorbs jolts, and a running belt worn on the hips. This set spreads the effort, protects the runner’s back and preserves the dog’s comfort with every stride.
How do I choose the bungee pulling line?
Choose an elastic line of about 2 metres at rest, stretching under traction to absorb shocks. It prevents harsh jolts for both you and your dog. Check the strength of the carabiners and the presence of a handle to regain control in technical sections.
