Litter House Filter

Litter house filter: the air leaving the box stays clean

Enclosed litter houses give your cat privacy, but they also concentrate odours. The activated carbon filter, fitted in the lid vent, purifies the air escaping from the box: odour compounds are captured before they spread through the room. A discreet accessory that changes everyday life.

How does a carbon filter for a covered box work?

Activated carbon is a microporous material whose vast internal surface traps the molecules behind bad smells, including ammonia. Placed over the litter house vent, it treats the air released each time the cat passes, with no added fragrance and no contact with the litter.

How often should the filter be replaced?

A carbon filter gradually saturates and loses its effectiveness. In normal use, expect to replace it every four to eight weeks, more often with several cats. A filter that lets odours through again is a sign it should be changed without delay.

Our range of litter house filters

  • Activated carbon filters : capture ammonia and odour compounds as they leave the lid.
  • Universal sizes : can be trimmed to fit the main litter houses on the market.
  • Value refills : packs of several filters to cover several months of use.
The AnimalParadise expert tip: note the fitting date on a discreet corner of the lid. Paired with a deodoriser in the box, the carbon filter offers far more complete odour neutralisation.
