Why are my plants yellowing or standing still?
Yellow, translucent or perforated leaves usually point to a deficiency: iron, potassium or other trace elements. A complete fertiliser dosed regularly corrects these shortfalls. Insufficient light or too little CO2 also slows growth, even with correct feeding.
Is CO2 essential for a planted tank?
For undemanding plants, liquid fertilisation is often enough. Hungry species and dense aquascapes, on the other hand, benefit from CO2 injection, which clearly boosts growth and colour. Well-dosed CO2 with good light gives compact, vivid plants.
