How often should I change the fountain filter?

As a rule, an activated carbon filter should be replaced every two to four weeks, depending on the number of cats and the water hardness. A mechanical foam should be rinsed weekly and changed monthly. If the flow slows down or the water starts to smell, it is a sign that the refill needs replacing without delay.

How do I choose a filter compatible with my fountain?

Identify the brand and model of your fountain, then check the filter shape (round, dome, rectangular) and its diameter. Some models use a single combined carbon-plus-foam filter, others separate the stages. If in doubt, measure the filter housing: our refills state the dimensions and the models covered.
