Cage bird feeders and drinkers

Feeding and watering your bird inside its cage

A caged bird needs a clean, stable and easy-to-reach point for food and water, fixed to the bars or placed at the bottom of its home. This page brings together indoor cage equipment — not to be confused with garden feeders meant for wild birds — so your parakeet, canary or parrot can eat and drink in the best conditions.

What is the difference between a cage feeder and a garden feeder?

A cage feeder clips between the bars or sits inside your pet bird’s home; it is designed for indoor use, daily cleaning and everyday access. A garden feeder hangs outside for wild birds. Everything here is built for life in a cage: small volumes, secure fixing and beak-friendly materials.

How can I limit seed waste and dirty water?

Choose anti-waste feeders with a high rim and closed drinkers that keep water safe from droppings and debris. Place food and water away from any perch above them, check the level every morning and rinse the containers to prevent bacteria from building up.

Our AnimalParadise cage equipment range

  • Clip-on feeders : feeders that clip onto the bars, with an anti-scatter rim, for seeds, soft food or fruit.
  • Cage drinkers : water dispensers with a reservoir or cups, easy to fill and disinfect every day.
  • Cups and accessories : stainless steel or plastic bowls, holders and fixings to complete the indoor setup.
The AnimalParadise expert tip: Fit the feeder and drinker at different heights and never under a perch, to keep seeds and water clean for longer.
