Poultry feeder

The right feeder to feed your hens without waste

A good feeder keeps feed clean, dry and safe from vermin while cutting down on spilled grain. Our poultry hoppers dispense grain and pellets at the hens’ own pace, for controlled, cost-effective feeding.

What feeder capacity should I choose for my flock?

Allow roughly 120 to 150 grams of feed per hen per day. For three or four hens a 3 kg hopper covers several days; beyond six hens, go for a 5 to 12 kg model to space out refills and keep a reserve always available.

How do I stop hens wasting or fouling their feed?

Choose an anti-waste hopper with narrow ports or a treadle lid, which stops hens scratching and tipping the grain. Hang the feeder at hen back height: they peck without flicking feed onto the ground or soiling it with droppings.

Our range of poultry feeders

  • Hanging hoppers : in plastic or metal, they keep pellets dry and adjust to the right height to limit losses.
  • Treadle feeders : the lid opens only under the hen’s weight, keeping rodents and wild birds away from the feed.
  • Compartment floor feeders : separate sections that prevent scratching and share the grain across the whole flock.
The AnimalParadise expert tip: Keep the feeder out of the rain, under a shelter or inside the coop: dry feed stays palatable and does not go mouldy, protecting your hens’ health.

Our feeders ship quickly across Europe. Our experts help you choose the capacity and system suited to the size of your flock.
