A confident cat enjoys an open cushion or basket, preferably up high. A more timid cat feels better in an enclosed bed like a dome or igloo, which hides and reassures it.

Where should you place your cat's bed?

Choose a quiet spot, up high if possible, away from foot traffic and the food bowl. A cat likes to survey its territory: near a window, it combines rest and watching.
