How do I choose the right crate size?
Your dog must be able to stand, turn around and lie down fully inside. Measure its length from nose to tail and add about 10 cm, then its height with ears up. A crate that is too small is uncomfortable, while one that is too large reduces support during braking.
Which crate meets the standards for air travel?
Airlines usually require a rigid IATA-approved carrier, with a lockable metal door, ventilation on several sides and an accessible water bowl. Always check the permitted dimensions with the airline before departure, as they vary with the dog’s weight and the type of flight.
