Play for an active, balanced and happy cat

A bored cat becomes stressed, destructive or overweight. Play lets its hunting instinct out: a few minutes a day are enough to make it calmer and more fulfilled.

How long should you play with your cat?

Two to three sessions of 10 to 15 minutes a day are enough, ideally before meals to mimic the hunt-eat-sleep cycle. Short, regular sessions beat one long one now and then.

Which toys for a cat that stays alone?

Favour independent toys: balls, mice, ball tracks, food-dispensing toys. Rotate them to keep novelty, as a cat quickly tires of a toy that's always available.

Our cat toys and play range

  • Wands and feather teasers: to play together and strengthen your bond.
  • Balls and mice: perfect for solo hunting.
  • Enrichment and interactive toys: stimulate your cat's mind.
  • Tracks and tunnels: to run, hide and pounce.
  • Catnip toys: boost the urge to play.
The AnimalParadise expert tip: put some toys away and rotate them each week: when it reappears, a set-aside toy feels brand new to your cat and rekindles its interest without buying anything.
