Seed bird feeders

Seeds released visit after visit

A seed feeder works like a reservoir: the hopper stores the seeds and releases them gradually into the lower ports as birds help themselves. The result is less waste, seeds that stay dry and several days of autonomy. It is the go-to format for sunflower, seed mixes or nyjer.

How does a hopper feeder work?

The vertical reserve (the silo) feeds seeds down by gravity to the access ports. Birds take only what they eat, which keeps the stock dry and extends autonomy. You refill less often and the seeds stay protected from rain and droppings.

Which seeds go in a silo?

Black sunflower and wild-bird mixes suit models with wide ports. For nyjer, which is very fine, choose a narrow-slot silo that prevents run-off. Match the hole size to the seed calibre to limit losses.

Our range of seed feeders

  • Tube silos : gradual delivery across several perches, perfect for tits and finches.
  • Covered hoppers : an overhanging roof that shields the stock from rain and keeps seeds dry.
  • Nyjer silos : fine slots for nyjer seed, with no run-off or waste.
The AnimalParadise expert tip: empty and fully dry the silo before every refill: damp seeds can go mouldy at the bottom of the tube and make birds ill.

Choose the silo that fits your seeds and your visitors: AnimalParadise offers a wide range of seed feeders with delivery across Europe.
