A long line paired with a tie-out stake gives your dog a perimeter of freedom while keeping it safe. In the garden, on holiday or at the campsite, this outdoor tether lets it move, sniff and relax, without risk of escape or constant supervision.
Screw or drive the stake into open ground, away from obstacles, fences and choke points. Attach the line to a rotating swivel to prevent tangling, and make sure the area stays shaded with water available. A tethered dog should never be left unsupervised for long.
Match the length to the available space: 5 to 10 metres is often enough in the garden, more at an open campsite. Prefer a tough line with a sturdy carabiner and anti-twist swivel, and clear the area of objects your dog could wrap around.
