Terrarium

Terrariums: give your reptile a habitat that truly fits

A terrarium is far more than a glass box: it is your pet’s microclimate. Volume, ventilation and layout must match the species’ biotope, whether desert or tropical.

What terrarium size should I choose for my animal?

As a minimum, allow the full length of the adult animal along the front, and more height for active or arboreal species. A cramped volume stresses the animal and makes thermoregulation harder.

Desert or tropical: how do I set up the tank?

A desert terrarium favours cross-ventilation and a dry sandy substrate, while a tropical one holds humidity with a planted background and good upper airflow. The decor follows the animal’s native habitat.

Our AnimalParadise terrarium range

  • Glass terrariums : sturdy tanks with sliding fronts, easy to observe and to clean.
  • Airflow and ventilation : grilles and openings to renew the air and prevent condensation.
  • Decor and substrate : backgrounds, roots and floors suited to desert or tropical settings.
The AnimalParadise expert tip: choose a sliding front and a properly sized ventilation grille: renewed air limits mould and respiratory problems.

Every terrarium is carefully packed and shipped across Europe to reach you ready to welcome your new companion.
