Pond treatment products

The right treatment, at the right time, on the right cause.

In short: pond treatments are curative or preventive solutions for three common problems — green water (micro-algae), blanketweed (filamentous algae) and fish diseases. They complement, but do not replace, a healthy biological balance (plants, filtration, measured feeding).

Our treatment families

  • Green-water treatments: flocculate suspended micro-algae to clear the water.
  • Blanketweed treatments: target the hair-like algae clinging to walls and plants.
  • Fish care: treat common external conditions (bacteria, fungi, parasites).
  • Fountain treatments: limit algae in small volumes.

Treat well, without upsetting the balance

  • Identify the exact problem before choosing: an algae treatment does not cure a sick fish, and vice versa.
  • Work out the real pond volume and follow the dose.
  • After a heavy algae treatment, remove the dead algae and watch oxygen levels, especially in hot weather.

Is one treatment enough to fix the problem for good?

No: a treatment manages the crisis, not the cause. To avoid going round in circles, act on the root — more plants, more shade, less food, a suitable filter. See also the Improve water quality department.

AnimalParadise expert tip: never combine several treatments at once without checking they are compatible. Treat one problem at a time, spacing out the interventions, and let the filter work in between.
